Our building crew is hard at work, refurbishing a 100 year old building into a unique retail destination, which we plan to open in 2006.
Once completed, we will be in one of the city's most attractive spaces, featuring original brickwork, heavy timber post-and-beam supports and high wooden ceilings.
We hope to see you in our new home when it is complete.
Giorgio Pelissero is one of the most exciting young winemakers in Piedmont, and we were delighted when he recently visited us at the store.
Pelissero is a family-run estate located in the district of Treiso, in the heart of the Barbaresco production zone. Originally the family simply sold the grapes they grew, but Giorgio has carried on the work started by his father in the 1960s by making great wine from their estate grown grapes.
Toscano & Sons Italian Market were proud to participate in the inaugural Atlanta Italian Film Festival held at the High Museum.
The event was a great success, with “Alla Luce del Sole” voted as best picture by those who attended. Plans are already being put in place to make the 2008 festival bigger and better.

Westside in the news again
Our neighborhood is featured in the latest edition of AirTran Airways "Go" magazine:
"This once industrial wasteland has recently matured into an area with chic lofts that provide both an urban edge and skyline views of the city. Indeed, the Westside has become Atlanta’s outpost of promise. If you seek a unique “unscene” experience in shopping, dining, music and just plain loafing around, put the Westside on your itinerary"
"Zagat Rated": thanks to our customers that have provided positive ratings and reviews to Zagat:-
You can pick up every must-have for your cucina Italia” at this Westside market “hideaway”, a “fabulous addition” to an
“interesting neighborhood”, where “unforgettable” panini is “freshly
made in front of you” and the “best collection of sundries
anywhere” can be found, including “lots of hard-to-find items”;
limited seating is available in the cheery warehouse space.

Toscano & Sons in Atlanta magazine's "Best of 2009"
"When it comes to Panini, this adorable Italian market on the Westside has no equal. Not only is the bread delicious, the cured meats and the cheeses exceptional, and the prices teeny tiny (the Viola Panini with mortadella, speck, salami, provolone and tapenade costs $4.75), but you eat in a store stocked with tempting imported products"
